No Passports Until June 2009! |

 An article published by the US Department of Homeland Security on January 18, 2008, declares full implementation of passport requirements at the US/Canadian border will go into effect in June 2009. In the mean time, US citizens should be prepared to document their citizenship with a certified copy of their birth certificate and (if applicable) a valid drivers license.
But wait... there's more. We found a copy of the proposed rule that will go into effect in June 2009 as published in the Federal Register on June 26, 2007. Even when the new rules are fully implemented next summer, there will be an exception that will allow US Citizen minors (through age 18) coming with their church group to Canada for a church-sponsored event to do so without acquiring a passport.

Online W.I.L.D. Enrollment Now Open! |

W.I.L.D. participants can now register online. The new online form went live over the weekend and registrations are starting to roll in. Those planning to attend the May W.I.L.D. in Algonquin are encouraged to submit an enrollment form early to ensure their space is locked in. Space is limited and spaces are secured when deposits are received. Remember too that W.I.L.D. enrollees receive a $200 credit toward their summer outfitting trip!
